BASIC PLUS FIRST AID<\/strong>
This is a full workplace course that follows content guideline for workplace first aid.\u00a0 Our Basic Plus program has been a popular course selection for those who want to meet their first aid responsibilities without the stress of any formal assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unit standards \u2013 NA<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost $145+ gst per person
Approx half day

REFRESHER FIRST AID<\/strong>
This course refreshes your first aid skills and updates you with any changes in first aid that have occurred since your original training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you require revalidation of your Workplace first aid certificate or have had first aid training in the past and want to refresh your knowledge and skills, this is the course for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unit Standards –  NA \u2013 However if you require revalidation, we will revalidate you against the units you currently hold.  To do this we require a copy of your current certificate which can not be outside of three months from the expiry date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost $145 + gst per person
Approx half day

WORKPLACE FIRST AID (Level 1)<\/strong>
This is our most popular industry \/ community based program covering basic life support and first aid practices. Course content follows Worksafe NZ good practice guide for first aid in the workplace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assessed for units 6401 & 6401 under NZQA Guidelines<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6401 – Provide First Aid
6402 – Provide Basic Life Support<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First Aid Provider \u2013 Personal Safety & Contacting Emergency Medical Services (111)
Basic CPR Skills,Basic Life Support Care \u2013 Stable Side Positioning of Patient,Choking,Patient Assessment

Caring for Serious Injury \u2013 Bleeding, Shock Management, Soft-tissue injuries, and wounds,
Burns & Poisoning
Caring for Sudden Illness \u2013 Stroke, Diabetic Emergencies, Seizures, Breathing Difficulties and Asthma, Severe Allergic Reaction & Chest Pain<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost $200 + gst per person
Approx full day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMPREHENSIVE FIRST AID (Level 2)<\/strong>
This course offers everything the workplace course covers above and more. Ideal for those higher risk workplaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Assessed for unit standards 6401, 6402 & 6400 under NZQA regulations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6400 – Manage first aid in an emergency situation
6401 – Provide first aid
6402 – Provide basic life support<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cost $245 + gst per person
Approx 1.5 days<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GENERAL<\/strong>

We try to tailor the courses around when you need them rather than set dates. We provide a lunch for those that are required to spend the day.

We do require a minimum of four people per class.

We will keep a schedule and remind you with plenty of notice when you have someone coming up requiring a class. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If someone has completed a comprehensive\/advanced\/workplace first aid course they are current until the expiry date on their certificate. They have a small timeframe outside of that expiry date in which to get a refresher course. If they fall outside the window they will need to resit the advanced\/workplace first aid course. But remember they are no longer current past the expiry date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently looking into a Basic Sports first aid course, no unit standard but focussed on sports injuries on the field and how to deal with them. Hopefully ideal for schools, social sports etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
